Research Projects - Cited transcriptional co-activators

Function of the cited proteins in development

Proteins of Cited family (CBP/p300-interacting transactivator with glutamic acid (E)/aspartic acid (D)-rich carboxyl-terminal domain) are transcriptional co-activators. Cited proteins regulate manifold CBP/p300 dependent transcriptional responses. Members of this family mediate the connection of the neuronal transcription factor Tfap2a to CBP/p300, which is required for the transcriptional activity of Tfap2a.

Cited transcriptional co-activators

Expression of the zebrafish cited family

We cloned all members of this family and started the analysis of their function in nervous system development.
