My laboratory is using the
model organism Drosophila melanogaster to analyze various aspects
of BMP signaling during development. Our research interests include:

establishment of cis-acting elements that mediate transcriptional
responses to BMP signaling |

identification of transcriptional targets of the BMP signaling
pathway |

identification of regulators and modifiers of the signaling
pathway |
|
cross-talk of the BMP-signaling pathway with other signaling
pathways during development |
We use a combination of molecular, genetic, biochemical and bioinformatic
approaches to address these questions.
